... my daddy!

Today is his birthday! He is such a hard working man and is always protecting me. (Guys, beware of the shotgun... haha!) We are just about the same in our personalities, and the one thing you should know is if you try to pick a fight with him, you will always lose... even if you win, he is the winner. Haha!

I'm wonderfully blessed to be his daughter! My name means "father's joy," and I hope I'm that to him!

Well, I finally got what I've wanted for a while! Fish Tacos!

A friend told me about them, and ever since then, I've been wondering what they really were like. It seems to be the new craze! So I made them this evening and well.... I was enraptured! Try them some time! I made mine with coconut-battered fried fish, cabbage, and homemade ranch dressing. We also had long-grain rice and mango salsa on the side.

I would have taken a picture, but it was too yummy to wait ;)

...my Best Sister.
She is my big sister and today is her birthday! There is an 8 year gap between us, so I get to love on her kids nowadays! I love it!

The best thing about my Best Sister is that we are probably polar opposites on a lot of things, but that is what makes it fun. Though we are "different" we are the same... it's complicated ;) I would not change a thing... only that I could spend more time with her.

Tourist at Home

This weekend was lovely! My big sis came in town with the exception of missing two little munchkins... they had to stay home :( We went around town and ate food till it came out of our ears! But that is the best part of Alabama -- GOOD FOOD!

If you are ever in my neck of the woods, you really should eat at Nabeel's! Amazing Greek food in a quaint little setting. At nights on the weekends they have a live accordion player!







As you can see, Nathan and I are surrounded by our beautiful red-head family... we are the odd ones out ;)

Just came from the bank and instead of lolly-pops they gave me 5 dog treats...???? Did I miss some holiday?

Yes, my doggies are very grateful, but still... dog treats and my dogs were not even in the car. Well, it made for a good laugh :D
