Lock me in the library.

I'd be ok if you wanted to lock me in a library! Just give me some veggie chips and a cup of black coffee. I think we all should step back in time and go smell the old books. Yes, we may have nooks, iPads, and the web, but turning the crispy, old pages of a hardcover book can be refreshing to our over-cluttered tech world!

Happy October!

Searching

A new Christian ministry is seeking young ladies between the ages of 13 to 30 to be volunteer models for upcoming photo shoots in the Birmingham area! We’ll be photographing for our spring website unveiling. Please contact me if you are interested. These shoots should provide a really wholesome and fun opportunity to visually depict how to balance style and true godly beauty! Don’t miss out, ladies -- tell your friends!

Farewell to Summer

To Summer's sweet sunshine,
Filled with warmth and dreams.
To the breeze which filled my heart,
With childhood's happy theme.

Call back to Summer,
Beckon her to stay.
Be not saddened,
For Summer will return someday.

Colors change,
Grow not brown.
Contrast to death,
For beauty now surrounds!

Mimic the trees,
Rest in Winter's peace.
Green fields shall return,
Continue in grace, let it never cease.

Wedding #1

Love is in the air down here, so marriage comes with it :)

Here's to the lovely Mr. and Mrs. Disharoon!

It was really fun to do all the bridesmaids' hair and makeup. Such beautiful girls and wonderful friends!

You Should Meet...

       ... my mother.

Yeah, she's pretty much the most beautiful mother anyone could ever ask for. Not just on the outside, but on the inside, too. Dad's still not sure how he got her ;)

She is a woman of structure and organization, but we children like to keep things mixed up for her and she does a great job of being on top of us! She is a woman of MANY hats. Wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, accountant, consultant, health counselor, editor, sponsor, manager, friend, political informant... just to name a few. To sum it up, she's a Homemaker! (Who ever said staying at home is dull.)

We love her and would never trade her. <3

That's No, Leave it to Beaver!

All I can say is this is one of the strangest things I've seen in a long time. My family have some deep thoughts about its ever-so-cool "enlightenment of evolution" approach, but you decide.

Tell me what you think! Does this go deeper than bike safety, or is it now evident to you as to why the generation that is currently leading America is so crazy?

Chalk, Books and Cooks

They love chalk, libraries, books, Grandma, helping, Uncle Nathan, puzzles, singing, doggies, dressing up, and breakfast for dinner... Guess they had a good day. ;)

P.S. The drawings above represent Peter Pan, drawn by Grandma on the bottom left, and Mommy (Jacqueline), on the top right by Selina.
