Thrifty $15 Challenge
Let's face the fact that clothing is not cheap... or maybe it can be.
Here's the challenge:
1. You can only spend $15 dollars on an entire outfit -- head to toe -- tax included.
2. You can thrift, consign, make, or shop vintage.
3. The theme is Spring Dream.
4. In your entry, submit two photos, your username, and the brand name and price of each item in your outfit.
5. Submit your entry by March 30, 2011, 12:00 noon CST. Only one entry per person.
6. E-mail your entry to silknpurpleprov31@gmail.com.
7. Follow this blog.
Top 5 winners will be anounced April 1, 2011! Their photos will be posted on La vie est belle. First place winner will earn bragging rights and receive a gift from Lina & Lacie.
Happy Thrifting! Be creative and have fun!
Note:
The judges have the right to disqualify any outfit that is deemed immodest and/or sensual.
All contestants are judged by their stylish creativity, not how much they can buy/make.
Silk and Purple, Feelin Feminine, True Femininity, Cakies, and All Things Lovely are participating sponsors of this event.

Does every piece if the ensemble have to be acquired after joining the contest, or can it include things we already own?
ReplyDeleteHello Abby!
ReplyDeleteI come from Feelin' Feminine and hope you don't mind if I ask a question concerning the Thrifty 15 challenge. Can I use a piece of clothing that was on sale at a department store? Say Kohl's or Younkers? I have this gorgeous long flowy skirt that was originally around $60, but I got it for $3!! I love it. =) Does that count? Thanks for your reply!
Many blessings to you.
Annie
Hello Ladies!
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, yes, you are welcome to use items you already have as long as you can give/remember the price!
Annie, that sounds like you got a great deal! I'm fine with purchases made from department stores or brand names! A deal is a deal!
The goal is to get young ladies to think outside the box and gain radiant beauty!
Happy $15!
What a fun challenge, and what a a challenge!
ReplyDeleteI hope we don't have to count in underwear... seeing as buying underwear in thrift stores is not a good idea... so it can't come that cheap. ;-)
