So you should know I used to be on a bowling league. (Yeah, I'm cool like that.) It's been about 9 years since I was on the league and about 8 years since I've bowled... until last week. Haha! I may not have my old skills, but I had a lot of fun! I would consider starting back again... I'm not so sure any league would take me, though ;)

Ma Chambre Familiers
After a long day, like today, I'm comforted by familiar things. Such as this favorite print in my room.
Oh, combien je aller à ce lieu si loin de moi. Cette image inspire mon cœur pour longtemps beau pays!
P.S. Don't forget our Thrifty $15 Challenge now open!

2. You can thrift, consign, make, or shop vintage.
3. The theme is Spring Dream.
4. In your entry, submit two photos, your username, and the brand name and price of each item in your outfit.
5. Submit your entry by March 30, 2011, 12:00 noon CST. Only one entry per person.
6. E-mail your entry to silknpurpleprov31@gmail.com.
7. Follow this blog.

Happy Thrifting! Be creative and have fun!
Note:
The judges have the right to disqualify any outfit that is deemed immodest and/or sensual.
All contestants are judged by their stylish creativity, not how much they can buy/make.
Silk and Purple, Feelin Feminine, True Femininity, Cakies, and All Things Lovely are participating sponsors of this event.
Week
Oh, my! I've left the blogging scene lately! This has not been intentional -- I have NOT been at home! Life has been so crazy, but wonderful! Let's see if I can tell you in a nutshell...
Seven art classes.
Had to call the plumber.
Car died.
Pushed car.
Car lives.
Went thrifting.
Worked in church kitchen.
Had lunch with friends.
Had dinner with friends.
Went bowling.
Celebrated a birthday.
Climbed up and down a mountain with filming equipment, and in city clothes. (I don't recommend this.)
Put dirt on a friend. (He's a real sport.)
Put 3 young men under a cold waterfall.
Went thrifting again!
Let my grandmother drive...almost died.
Spent the day with my grandmother.
Bought a rug.
And now I still don't know when I'm going to slow down! I really just want to do some laundry ;}
Happy Crazy Life!

A Belated Valentine Wish
At Christmas I wish for snow.
On Easter I wish for a new dress to wear on that extra special Sunday.
For Valentine's Day I wish for everyone to find Love... (Yes, you may laugh. I'm a hopeful romantic ;)
This Love that I wish, hope, and pray for I have already found, or rather this Love found me. This Love can't be found in people or even in yourself. You must be in this Love before you can love. And the lovely thing about it is this Love loved you first even while you were unlovable. This Love waits, prays, and seeks you!
To answer to your Lover's voice, all you have to say is I do!
e-mail me to find out more of your not-so-secret admirer ;)
P.S. Roses are overrated... give me ranunculus!

Love
love
i made it mine
i made it small
i made it blind
i followed heart
only to find
it wasn't love
it wasn't love
love
of songs in pen
oh love of movie endings
takes out the break
leaves out the bend
and misses love
love not of you
love not of me
come hold us up
come set us free
not as we know it
but as it can be
love's reality
is not of passing bravery
it holds out hope
beyond what's seen
the hope of love
love not of you
love not of me
come hold us up
come set us free
not as we know it
but as it can be

The Un-Southern Idea
And it snowed again! This is pretty historical down here. It was REALLY cold this time, but I couldn't believe myself when I was not really enthusiastic about "playing" in the snow. I might have even uttered the words that I am wishing for spring... Oh my! Be it cold or warm, new or old, the world around me is beautiful. Sometimes you just have to look a bit harder ;)

Goblins, Princesses, and Wizards! Oh My!
Once upon a time, in a happy school where all children could be creative and serve their creator, there was a teacher. This teacher was fond of the children and they had many a merry time together, but the teacher forgot all about the ball that the Ladies of the land were hosting to reward the good children. No matter if you be an elf, goblin, knight, or maiden, you were invited, but the teacher had nothing to wear! So she traveled to the great castle of Hobby of Lobby to fetch fabric. To her great surprise, a good fairy showed her golden fabric to create a most pleasing gown!
She worked with her hands day and night to finish her dress and she did! So she danced and was merry with those lovely children! And this is a faithful narrative of what transpired... well almost ;)

Artist of My Soul
Oh Lord of light, of form and hue,
Who has created all things new,
Create in me, from shapeless clay,
An instrument on which you play.
God of the dance that planets tread,
Who walks beside and soars ahead,
O let me move to worship Thee;
come, Holy Spirit dance with me
God of the Living Word, Poet of Time,
teach me Your words in Your cadence and rhyme.
O Lord of beauty, Lord of art,
Who gives a song for every heart,
carve out my life, reshape and mold;
And be the artist of my soul
Teach me Your words in Your cadence and rhyme.
O Lord of beauty, Lord of art,
Who gives a song for every heart,
carve out my life, reshape and mold;
and be the artist of my soul.
Carve out my life, reshape and mold;
and be the artist of my soul.
Who has created all things new,
Create in me, from shapeless clay,
An instrument on which you play.
God of the dance that planets tread,
Who walks beside and soars ahead,
